Tangent Estimation Based on Digital Straight Lines

In this paper, we develop an improved method for discrete tangent estimation based on Digital Straight Lines and Segments (DSL and DSS for short). We also compare it with an existent method proposed by Vialard. The experimental results show that the new method has an overall good performance.
