Evaluation of the constant modulus algorithm in blind equalization of three ray multipath fading channels

Abstract A QAM data transmission system operating over a band‐limited simplified three‐ray multipath fading channel can be equalized by the constant modulus algorithm. A systematic study of the convergence of this blind equalizer is performed in terms of the channel parameters by adopting an analytical model. The convergence behaviour is expressed in terms of the dispersion pattern of the equalized samples around the true symbols of the constellation.
