Abstract The article proposes a definition for the term “Pervasive University”. It discusses the idea, history, and implications of this architecture. Furthermore, some technical prerequisites from a technical point of view are stated: Pervasive Computing itself as well as Service-Oriented Architecture, Self Organization, and Peer-to-Peer Computing. This leads to a roadmap for the implementation of a Pervasive University.
