Comparison of different chip pulse shapes for DS-CDMA systems

In this work several different chip pulse shapes with related interplexing/mapping schemes are assessed for DS-CDMA systems with application to Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). The different signal types are compared with respect to synchronization performance, spectral separation to non-interoperable signal, and implementation aspects on the satellite payload and in the GNSS receiver.
