Media technology hardware and human sensory channels: Cognitive structures in multidimensional space

Personal cognitions about how “media”; are defined are tapped via multidimensional scaling analysis. With fifteen media types and ten human senses as concepts, the first three resultant dimensions were interpreted as: perceived “mediated‐ness,”; print vs. non‐print, and personal/subjective vs. impersonal/objective.
