Existence of Global Weak Solutions to the Dynamical Problem for a Three-Dimensional Elastic Body with Singular Memory

A three-dimensional elastic body with memory is considered, for which the memory term is generated by a singular but integrable kernel; the existence of a global weak solution to an associated initial-boundary value problem is established by constructing Galerkin approximations and deriving suitable energy estimates.
