Editor's Note The combined membership of the American Auditory Society possesses an extreme degree of knowledge and experience. Additionally, because of the status of our society, we have access to other groups and individuals which makes our ability to obtain the answer to any question highly probable. To take advantage of this situation, we have taken questions asked this department and sought answers from acknowledged experts in the field. In this issue, the five questions pertain to hearing aid technology. In future issues, we can attack any relevant questions. Send your requests to this department in care of John Sinclair.
