Eigenstates of complex linear combinations of J1,J2,J3 for any representation of SU(2)

H. Bacry · Journal of Mathematical Physics · 1978

The states which minimalize the uncertainty relation ΔJ1 ΔJ2? (1/2) ‖〈J3〉‖ are eigenstates of complex linear combinations of J1 and J2 [S. Rushin and Y. Ben-Aryeh, Phys. Lett. A 58, 207 (1976)]. This kind of state is shown to have a very simple geometrical interpretation in the constellation formalism. A detailed description is given in the present paper.
