Comparing public and private iaas cloud models

To better understand the advantages and disadvantages of deploying a private cloud or employing a public cloud for computing resources, a fully featured private cloud of infrastructure as a service (IaaS) was built from bare metal servers using Xen Server and featured mobile device compatibility. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) was experimented as an example of public clouds. In this work, configurations are discussed. Costs, reliability, and usefulness of private and public clouds are examined.
