Emerging workstation-based potential field methodologies
Robert S. Pawlowski · The Leading Edge · 1994
Within the last six years, fundamental changes in exploration computing practice have resulted from widespread implementation of workstation-based distributed computing. More and more of the computational work previously performed on mainframe computers is now done with Unix-based workstations and workstation networks. The growth in workstation-based distributed computing has created new opportunities for potential field analysis. Interestingly, many of these opportunities have their conceptual basis in ideas first advanced some years ago.
