V.On the calculation and application of high resistances of small self-inductance for all frequencies

Raymond M. Wilmotte · The London Edinburgh and Dublin Philosophical Magazine and Journal of Science · 1926

In many accurate measurements it is necessary to know the exact phase-angle of high resistances of the order of several thousand ohms. In this case the capacity effects are often very large. In the paper, formulae are given for the self-inductance of high resistances formed by long parallel wires of circular cross-sections and screened from earth by a cylindrical metal shield.
