Using video tapes and audio tapes on and off the campus

Thomas D. Rossing · The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America · 1987

The use of prerecorded presentations offers several advantages to the teacher. One of the most attractive is to present demonstrations of acoustical phenomena that are difficult to implement in real time, especially in a remote classroom. Another is to substitute animated text for still text (the so-called “animated blackboard”). Excerpts are presented from several audio and video tapes and how they can be used to enhance acoustics instruction both on and off campus is discussed.
