A novel PSO algorithm for global optimization of multi-dimensional function

In this paper, a novel particle swarm optimization (NPSO) algorithm was proposed. A novel formula for updating the particlepsilas velocity was introduced in NPSO. More information could be utilized by almost all particles to adjust their movements during the searching process. The experimental results on a well-known benchmark function with different dimensions show that the proposed NPSO algorithm improves the searching performance significantly.
