Deformed nucleon and the constituent quark mass
A. Abbas · Journal of Physics G Nuclear and Particle Physics · 1992
It is shown that the constituent mass of the quarks in a nucleon is not a fixed quantity but depends upon the deformation of the nucleon. This gives an improved description of the M1 width for the transition Delta + to P gamma and for the magnetic moment of Delta ++ . Along with all the other earlier successes it supports the concept of a deformed nucleon.
