Determination of pulse-transfer function of a digital filter from prescribed partial requirements

An integral formula is given which enables the unique determination of the pulse-transfer function (p.t.f.) of a linear-time-invariant (l.t.i.) digital filter from its real or imaginary part defined on the unit circle in the z−1 plane.
