Cache based approach for improving location based query processing in mobile environment

With the continuous development of wireless technology and advanced mobile computing, the recent mobile devices have many powerful capabilities such as fast and efficient processing and convenient data storage. These mobile devices have efficient strategies for processing queries locally or globally with the help of spatial database server. In this paper, we focus on the issues of workload on servers and invalid results obtained due to the dynamicity of the mobile devices. The proposed strategy uses semantic cache based technique for effectively processing the nearest neighbour queries and future location of the mobile client is predicted, so that a valid response from the spatial database server is retrieved.
