Modeling of Distributed Network Control for Vehicle Stability Based on TrueTime

Ning G. Sun, Yiqiang Wan, Zhanjun Guo · 2010

The vehicle control system based on Network communication becomes increasingly complicated recently. The traditional research only focuses on the improvement of network communication quality or system control performance. The network configuration had been carried out to study the vehicle chassis integrated control system. Based on the MATLAB/Simulink and TrueTime Toolbox, the distributed CAN network model had been established to investigate the vehicle stability performance. The simulation had been conducted to control the target of yaw rate of the vehicle. The simulation result indicated that the vehicle stability performance will not degrade with the 30% of communication load, and the communication delay will deteriorate the performance with 50 % or above load which need to be taken into consideration while design control system . As the load increase to 90 %, the controlled failed and the vehicle started to instable operation.
