Effect of semiconductor laser intrinsic dynamic distortions in hybrid fiber-CDMA cellular radio networks

In order to better exploit the available radio spectrum for microcellular coverage, Hybrid Fiber Radio (HFR) networks can be designed, in which optical fiber remotes connect Base Station (BS) to cell antenna. In this letter, the effect of intrinsic dynamic distortions due to nonlinear behaviour of semiconductor laser is evaluated on the performance of a hybrid fiber CDMA cellular radio system. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
