Systolic lu-factorization “dequeues” for trldiagonal systems

By the introduction of a new “rotate” and “fold” concept in the LU-decomposition strategy on a hexagonal systolic array of processors, the efficiency of the solution scheme for tridiagonal systems is shown to be increased. The design of the pipelined systolic algorithm is then presented for both odd or even matrices.
