More about New Instrumentation for Real-Time Spectrographic Analysis of Speech
D. E. Wood · The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America · 1963
A new instrumentation for spectrographic analysis of speech was described to the Society on 24 May of last year. The capabilities of this real-time system have since been increased. New functions are described and illustrated from films made on the analyzer. This instrumentation was designed both for economical mass recording of spectral patterns and for practical experimentation in the automatic processing of speech features. A new method of pitch extraction is presented as an illustration of processing experiments.
