GMPLS-controlled Ethernet segment protection

Efforts of standardization bodies illustrate that Ethernet is conquering carrier environments. Resulting technologies intend to overcome Ethernet bridging limitations. Validated through emulation, we show the gain of segment protection in connection-oriented Ethernet.
