Analogue linearized technique for a digital voltmeter

A direct method for obtaining a desired variable from the output of a nonlinear transducer is proposed. As the method preserves the basic accuracy of digital voltmeters it could have general value for precise analogue computing. Particular reference is made to the direct indication of temperature using a thermocouple as the transducer.
