A Portable, Selectable, Precision Voltage Reference

ABSTRACT AN inexpensive, selectable, precision DC voltage reference was developed for battery operation. The output is selectable from 0.01 V to 9.99 V in steps of 0.01, 0.1 or 1.0 V through thumbwheel switches. The instrument can supply a current of 100 m A at 9.99 V, and was designed for use at remote locations where AC power is not available.
