Simple Technique for Approximating Surface Storage of Slit-tilled Fields
D. L. Brough, A. R. Jarrett · Transactions of the ASAE · 1992
A relationship was developed between point elevation data spacing and the loss of surface storage capacity using three 1900-point profiles with spacing of 1.25 mm. As the spacing between the surface elevations increased, the surface storage capacity measured for the profile decreased. When surface elevations were 25, 50, and 100 mm apart, the measured storage capacities were 86, 78, and 64%, respectively, of the actual storage capacities.
