Using the Online Marketplace to Find Qualified Infosec Professionals

The strength of an organization’s security depends upon the security professionals it hires. As the demand for qualified security personnel continues to exceed supply, employers need to improve their methods to find qualified infosec candidates. At present, there is no continuity in the use of infosec job titles, descriptions and qualifications cited in online listings. While this may not be unexpected in the nascent field of information security, this wide variation leads to unpredictable results and lessens the ability of business and industry to respond to the need for stronger security.
