B. L. Raina, Robert R. Blake, Eugene Weiss · Studies in Family Planning · 1967
The Central Family Planning Institute New Delhi (CFPI) undertook a communications action research program to carry out a series of diagnostic studies to test methodologies and operational procedures necessary to carry on family planning information programs at various government levels. The first study was designed to assist a district to carry on a mass information program which might serve as a model for other districts and to determine the effectiveness of various types of prototype media. As a part of the same project the Institute undertook to promote the use of condoms by establishing a wide network of sales points through existing commercial channels. This study was conducted and written up by Lieut. Col. B. L. Raina Director of the Central Family Planning Institute New Delhi; Robert R. Blake Consultant Ford Foundation; and Eugene M. Weiss Research Associate?to all of whom we are indebted for permission to present this condensed version. (excerpt)
