Phase response of an N-path filter

Verification of the phase response of an N-path filter using switched modulators is difficult because of the nature of the output waveform. Filtering methods to reject the harmonics within the output only result in a deterioration of the original waveform. By using the special Lissajous figures given by this type of switched output, one can determine the phase response of the whole range of transfer functions obtained from an N-path filter which uses commutators operating out of phase with one another.
