Formation flying control of multiple spacecraft - Graph theoretic properties and switching schemes

We present several results on the leader-following (LF) paradigm in the formation flying of multiple spacecraft in free apace. In this direction, ideas from elementary graph theory and linear matrix inequalities are combined with logic-based switching to shed light on the various control designs which are feasible using the leader-following mechanism for various formation scenarios.
