MANDOLIN---a communications management expert system using a reduced form of the Dempster-Shafer uncertainty theory

Barry L. Gingrich, Gary J. Minden · 1990

MANDOLIN (MANagement and Diagnosis Of Large Information Networks) is an expert system structure for large communication networks. It integrates the concepts of data-driven inference, goal-driven inference, truth maintenance, Dempster-Shafer uncertainty handling, and event-driven simulation into a distributed framework. MANDOLIN is a system that is able to diagnose and control communication networks.
