Aquatic ecosystem identification using the group method of data handling

In this work the use of the original Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH) and a revised version of it, carried out by Tamura H. and Kondo T., are studied and applied to the data collected on an aquatic ecosystem (the lake Aiguebelette, France). This approach is compared with the identification of the same system made by the classical linear techniques.
