Camera Control in Three Dimensions with a Two-Dimensional Input Device

Mark A. Livingston, Arthur D. Gregory, W. Bruce Culbertson · Journal of Graphics Tools · 2000

The operations offer control of position, orientation, zoom, and a separate scaling parameter for the view of the world. All operations are designed to be easy to use for the end user, but we also designed for ease of implementation for the programmer.
