It consists of six holographic installationswith narrative sound. Each installation is comprised of a whitelight transmission hologram 52 inches wide by 43 inches high,mounted in a self contained display system including hologramsupport, mirror, lamp, etc., designed to facilitate assembly bynon—technical staff at art museums.The project was initiated when I was invited by an art museumdirector, Mr. Robert Abbott, to submit a proposal for a UnitedNations exhibition, Towards a Better Environment. The firstproposal that I put forward was for six 20 ft. by 12 ft.paintings, and it is interesting to note that it was the artmuseum director who said to me Why don't you use holography? Itwould communicate more powerfully. I had deliberately notselected holography because I knew the cost would be so high thatI did not think it would be possible to get it funded. However,
