TOPS is a local area network designed to link Apple Macintoshes and IBM PC's. It comes with software (and hardware for PC's) for translating data files for exchange between Macs and PC's. It also comes with a print spooler. It uses an Appletalk network, but unlike the original Appletalk, it doesn't require a dedicated file server.
