Computer (in)security?1: logical security

R.D. McDowall · The Quality Assurance Journal · 2000

In an occasional series of papers for the Quality Assurance Journal, the author will discuss areas that constitute computer security. In this first paper, logical security, which deals with the security that is provided either by an application and/or the operating system software, and which enables a user to gain access to the application or computer system, respectively, is discussed. Within logical security, there is also the issue of access by an individual to some or all functions of an application, and the associated data. Published in 2000 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
