The notion of a permissible misclose in traversing
P. Berthon Jones · Australian Surveyor · 1970
It is shown that a small misclose in traversing can not reliably guarantee that the traverse stations have been fixed accurately enough, nor that the component observations have been precise enough. Hence it is recommended that the use of an allowable misclose as a means of specifying precision should cease.
