Modern Information Technologies and the Role of Psychology in Work Design
K.P. Timpe · The Irish Journal of Psychology · 1990
New information technologies change the nature and organisation of work considerably. This framework provides the opportunity for psychologists to promote developments that create environments which foster personality development and good health. These developments must have their bases in human-oriented work design. To illustrate this point, the problems and effects of human-computer interaction are presented using different examples of interface design and knowledge elicitation. Problems connected with training are also discussed.
