Phase measuring circuit with lead-lag indication

Forrest P. Clay · American Journal of Physics · 1992

This paper deals with the design and construction of a circuit for measuring the phase difference between two coherent signals in the audio frequency range. On application of two coherent signals to the inputs of the circuit an output voltage is produced that is proportional to the phase difference between the input signals. A novel feature of the circuit is that the polarity of the output voltage indicates which of the two signals leads in phase.
