Abstract The construction of affine lower bound functions for multivariate polynomials based on Bernstein polynomials is presented. These bound functions are guaranteed also in the presence of rounding errors and (interval) data uncertainties. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
