This paper develops the architecture for an expert system for use in the EMP hardening of complicated systems, such as aircraft and ships. The best form for the topology knowledge base is one that mimics the topology data base: graphic. A specific graph model is explored as a candidate data base structure, and examples of the use of this data base are shown.
