Digitization and Integration of Low-Level Fluctuating Signals

A method of producing time integrals of low level fluctuating electrical analogue signals is described, the integral accumulating directly on electromagnetic counters. Use of a galvanometer as the sensing element, and a simple mechanical digitizing system provide an economical solution to those applications which do not require the long term stability and versatility of expensive dc amplifiers and digital electronics.
