4D repeatability beyond twice—using variance

Jan H. Kommedal, Olav Inge Barkved · 2005

Acquiring multiple repeat time lapse surveys facilitates the use of variance as a measure of repeatability. In addition to this it provides us with an indication of the size of 4D effects we can expect to detect. Here we use the repeatability measure normalized mean squared error and illustrate how it can be used with a real data example.
