Modified quantisation algorithm for dithering ofcolour images

Although colour quantisation and dithering operations are always performed sequentially, quantisers are designed independently from ditherers. This leads to suboptimal results. A new quantiser design is proposed that takes the subsequent dithering into account, and better image quality is obtained.
