Computer visualization: the coming revolution

One of the most exciting developments to emerge from the information revolution is computer visualization. It is used to communicate information for both review and public consumption, with photo-simulations replacing the artist's sketches. This article describes the technique of photo-simulation and presents several examples using visualization tools.
