Nonlinear interpolation of TV image sequences

A 3-D nonlinear filter for the interpolation of skipped frames in the transmission of TV image sequences at low bit rates is presented. The results obtained show that the nonlinear approach is convenient in the presence of moderate movements of the objects in the observed scene
