Desert seismic data processing technology from desert surface
Gu Yanbin, Dai Xiaoyun · 2006
The TaZhong area is located in the hinterland of the Tarim Desert, northwest China. The loose sand bed with large thickness has a strong influence on the attenuation of seismic waves, and the sand dune also has some influence on the stacking velocity and statics. To solve these problems two kinds of seismic data processing techniques in desert area are presented in this paper. The first is to construct the accurate t-x inverse Q model with constraints to compensate for the seismic attenuation of incompact sands. The second technique is to determine the static correction and obtain velocity profiles by selecting reasonable velocity analysis points followed by surface consistent static correction.
