A nonlinear stability problem of convection in a porous vertical slab

A nonlinear analysis of convection in a porous vertical slab, using the Brinkman model, is given. A sufficient condition for the nonlinear disturbances to be asymptotically stable is derived. This imposes certain restrictions on the Rayleigh number and on the initial temperature gradient.
