Protocol considerations for video prefix-cachingproxy in wide area networks
Hyotaek Lim, D.H.C. Du · Electronics Letters · 2001
Internet service providers can improve performance by caching the prefix of video streams at proxies near the requesting clients. An efficient protocol for video prefix-caching proxy is presented. It is shown that the proposed protocol can be used efficiently in TCP splicing.
