Software—where's the quality?

There is such a multiplicity of software engineering initiatives that the possibility of overlaps and gaps must be a matter of concern. The question of what action might be taken by the IEE to ease the situation resulted in a ‘Workshop on Software Quality Management’ held last year. This article is an account of the Workshop.
