Structure charts a structured alternative to flowcharts

Conventional flowcharts are a hindrance to structured programming. An alternative notation, which emphasises the nested structure of programs, is proposed. The notation allows for only those goto s which are safe in a structured program. Unbelievers in Structured Programming are advised not to read this paper.
