Orthogonal Transformations for Multivariable Companion form Computation

Using only orthogonal transformations and back substitutions, a procedure to transform the matrix triple (A, B, C) to multivariable companion form is described in this paper. The companion form is expressed in terms of a minimum number of nonfixed parameters.
